With the World's Largest Deck Chair

To celebrate our 40th anniversary, we brought a record-breaking installation to the heart of Milan, earning a Guinness World Records™ title for the world's largest deck chair.

 

From 19 to 21 June, from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, Piazza Gae Aulenti will be transformed into a space dedicated to the seaside and relaxation in the heart of the city.

At the centre of the experience is Bluserena’s 9-metre-high deck chair, accompanied by an experiential area open to the public free of charge, offering a taste of a seaside holiday and the chance to rediscover the pleasure of slowing down.

A Guinness World Records™ title for Bluserena’s 40th anniversary

On 19 June, the official Guinness World Records™ adjudicators measured the installation and certified its world record status, officially recognising it as the world’s largest deck chair.

Following the verification process, the official Guinness World Records certificate was presented to our CEO, Marcello Cicalò.

This recognition made the celebration of our 40th anniversary even more meaningful – an anniversary that tells a story of hospitality, holidays, smiles and moments of wellbeing.

A moment of respite in the heart of Milan

Milan is a city that never stops. That is why we chose to bring one of the most iconic symbols of Italian holidays and relaxation to Piazza Gae Aulenti: the deck chair.

Standing 9 metres tall, the installation celebrates 40 years of Bluserena hospitality and invites everyone to take a break from the pace of everyday life, rediscovering the pleasure of slowing down and savouring, even if only for a moment, the atmosphere of a seaside holiday.

Experience it for yourself

Alongside the giant installation, you will find a relaxation area with 24 deck chairs where you can sit back, put on wireless headphones and be immersed in the sounds of the sea through a short guided meditation experience.

Five minutes to slow down, breathe and reconnect with the pleasure of being on holiday.
